Technique : Leaves and twig boiled 30 minutes, 5ml alum and 4 ml cream of tartar added, wetted wool added and boiled 30 minutes. Inspiration : "Nature's colours" by Ida Grae dyes from plants giving yellow colour. Crushed iron tablets added. Boiled 30 minutes. Description : Pink brown colour obtained - Mohair takes more colour than Corriedale. Inspiration : Stash. Technique : Pecan shells boiled one hour, unmordanted Mohair wetted and boiled one hour, left to soak overnight. Materials used : Corriedale handspun from fleece, pecan nut shells. Description : dyed together with Mohair to see which takes more colour. Inspiration : Stash.
